Our services fall into the 5 key areas of independent film creation – Development, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production and Distribution. We also offer state-of-the-art technical services including standards conversion and language dubbing.
Distribution
At CostaFilma our focus is on getting films that otherwise would not get seen out to the viewing public. We take on everything from forgotten classics to modern independent film. Our regions for distribution include the United Kingdom, Spain and Eastern Europe. CostaFilma is a company that aims to manage video rights in order to obtain the best results for the producers, as well as benefits for all concerned, including third parties.
August 3, 2007 – CostaFilma to film Gib PSA
Later this month CostaFilma will be shooting the first of its Public Service Announcement spots for Gibraltar. The first is ‘How Do You Want To Be Remembered?’ a spot about teenage drinking. Starring in the short will be the winners of the CostaFilma award from Runway 2007, a local Gibraltar talent pagent. Filming will take place in and around Gibraltar.
August 1, 2007 – CostaFilma Feature Selection
We’re down to the final 10 scripts for the first feature film to be shot by CostaFilma. The announcement of the production should happen in mid-September, with production commencing early 2008.
June 14, 2007 – CostaFilma exclusive video provider to Spanish Boomerang
Perhaps one of the most exciting new technologies we’ve seen, the Boomerang will hit the web in late September as a premium internet tool and content source. CostaFilma is the provider of content for this ground-breaking venture in Spain.
March 23, 2007 – Laughter, Tears, Fear, Passion… And a Granny Wrapped In a Carpet! Bal-can-can is the highest grossing Macedonian film ever. A Macedonian military deserter and his Italian blood-brother are searching for a dead grandmother wrapped up in a stolen carpet, all over the Balkan’s criminal underworld. CostaFilma is proud to add this film to our line-up.
